Samantha, a 3rd year student, allegedly committed suicide after breaking up with her boyfriend.
This has been announced by Dr Asiege Chavulimu PhD, who is the Dean of students.
“It is with deep sorrow that the office of the Dean of Students announces the passing on of the student whose name and registration number appear above.” Dr Asiege Chavulimu said in a statement.
Untill her untimely death, Samantha was a third-year BSc. in Tourism Management student in the school of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
“She died on 18th April, 2023 after committing suicide in a rented room near Total filling station at around 1.20 am.” Said Chavulimu.
Her body is at Murang’a Level 5 Hospital mortuary.
“Funeral arrangements are under way
and the date for burial will be communicated later.”
