The Interior Cabinet Secretary CS Kithure Kindiki and Trade CS Moses Kuria, along with other senior government officials, were locked out of a contract signing event at the State House for arriving late.
The two Cabinet Secretaries arrived late for a meeting that was supposed to begin at 8AM.
Kuria, who was standing outside the locked gate could be heard shouting, ” tufuungulieni tuingie Ndugu zetu, mumefungulia wengine, Mimi NI Mweshimiwa Moses Kuria.” Loosely translated to “open the door for us, as you have opened for others, I am Honourable Moses Kuria.”
President Ruto in his statement demanded those who came late to give a written explanation on why they were so and that they shouldn’t include traffic as among the cause of coming late.
