CS Kindiki appear in parliament, violation of law.

The political analyst Herman Manyora has hit out at the Interior CS Kithure Kindiki over mover to have him appear in parliament for questioning.

Manyora questions why Kindiki, who is a law professor appear in parliament which is unconstitutional.

According to Manyora, a constitutional amendment is needed to have CS Kindiki in parliament.

“Why would a law professor violate the law by doing what’s clearly unconstitutional? You would need a constitutional amendment through a referendum to allow a CS into parliament.” Said Manyora.

Herman Manyora, a political enthusiast was reacting to a report by K24 TV which detailed that Kindiki is set to appear in parliament for questioning from MPs.

“Kithure Kindiki will be the first CS to appear in parliament to answer questions from MPs. What are some of the things you would want to see him address?” The statement read.

The Narok Senator Ledama Olekina called out President Ruto for “bulldozing” his “illegal agenda in parliament just because he has numbers.

According to Ledama, doing so amount to violation of article 153(3) of the constitution.

“Just because you can Buldozer your agenda in parliament does not make it legal! @WilliamsRuto having your cabinet secretaries appear on the floor of the house to answer questions from members of parliament is a violation of the constitution. Article 153 (3) recognizes that CSs are strangers in parliament and can only appear on committees to answer questions like any other witness.” Ledama said in a post.
