One dead, several injured after two school buses collide head-on.

Two school buses have reportedly collided head-on, leaving one dead and several pupils injured in Kirinyaga, according to a video footage shared by citizen TV.

An eye witness says they heard the hooting and after few minutes, they heard a loud sound, on reaching the scene, they found two buses had collided.

The good Samaritan started rescuing pupils who had been trapped and those injured by the accident before the arrival of police.

Those injured were taken to the nearest hospital for medical attention.

The incident happened between 5 am to 6 am in the morning.

A teacher died on the spot, and eight students and a principal were seriously injured in a crime scene accident on Kagyo Baricho Street in Tokyo.

It was gathered that two buses traveling from Kutus Elementary School in Mwea and Trinity Academy in Ndia crashed during the morning rush hour to pick up the pupils.

It is reported that the driver of one bus lost control as he tried to overtake another bus, crashing into it.

Police and residents of the city of Baricho, Sagana, rushed to the crash site to help the victims.

Trapped on the ill-fated bus, the director of Trinity Academy was rescued and taken to the Kagyo Nursing Home.

Currently, eight students are being treated at the Kerugoy hospital and dead body moved to the institution’s mortuary.

Two buses were pulled to the Saganah police station.
