Fire raze down residential building in Ibadan.

Nigeria: On Tuesday evening, an apartment at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan caught fire.

An official from the Oyo State Fire Department, who confirmed the incident on condition of anonymity, said the fire had been put out.

The UCH witness added that no one was killed in the incident and that basically all that was lost in the fire was documents.

The Nigerian News Agency (NNA) said the fire was caused by electric shock.

There were few injuries, according to witnesses, as firefighters quickly responded and extinguished the flames.

A source said: “About three fire engines were sent to the scene, and there were no casualties. The apartment is located to the east of the rectangular door on the side of the APN, so some documents are missing, but there are no victims.”

Mr Fanmi Adetuyibi who is UCH Relation boss was unable to comment on the incident as her line was closed.
