Migori, Kenya – Police in Migori have arrested a suspected drug peddler after intercepting him with 152 rolls of bhang in a dramatic bust.
Daring Police Operation
Acting on a tip-off, officers from Migori Police Station rushed to the Tahmeed booking office after reports of a suspicious individual attempting to board a bus to Mombasa.
Upon arrival, they confronted 26-year-old Bernard Kungu, who was carrying two unusually heavy bags. Suspecting foul play, the officers escorted him to the station for a search.
Shocking Discovery
During what police humorously referred to as an “unpacking session,” officers uncovered 152 neatly packed rolls of bhang hidden inside Kungu’s luggage.
When questioned, Kungu allegedly confessed to transporting the drugs to Mombasa for distribution.
Next Steps
Kungu is currently in police custody awaiting arraignment, while the seized narcotics will serve as evidence in court.
This arrest highlights the ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking in the region. Authorities urge the public to report suspicious activities to help curb the drug menace.
