The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has released details regarding teachers’ annual leave allowances, hardship allowances, commuter allowances, and disability guide allowances, set to be paid alongside January salaries.
Annual Leave Allowance Per Job Group
- Grade B5: Ksh 4,000
- Grade C1: Ksh 4,000
- Grade C2: Ksh 6,000
- Grade C3: Ksh 6,000
- Grade C4: Ksh 6,000
- Grade C5: Ksh 6,000
- Grade D1: Ksh 10,000
- Grade D2: Ksh 10,000
- Grade D3: Ksh 10,000
- Grade D4: Ksh 10,000
- Grade D5: Ksh 10,000
Hardship and Commuter Allowances
The hardship and commuter allowances vary across job groups, with teachers in higher grades receiving higher payouts.
Disability Guide Allowance
All eligible teachers across all job groups will receive a uniform Ksh 20,000 as a disability guide allowance.
