The ministry of Education has issued a new directive ahead of school reopening on Monday.
In a statement seen by the k47 digital news team, the MOE says it will work with the National Government Constituency Development to repair and rehabilitate damaged school infrastructure.
“The Ministry of Education will work with the National Government Constituency Development to repair and rehabilitate damaged school infrastructure.” A statement from MOE reads.
The cabinet was reportedly informed of the adverse effects of weather conditions on schools, with infrastructure such as classrooms, dormitories, halls, toilets, latrines, fences, and perimeter walls being destroyed.
Some schools have been flooded, while others are occupied by people displaced by mudslides, landslides, and floods.
