Three behind bars, donkey carcass recovered – Embu.

Detective have recovered donkey carcass after raiding a homestead in Embu within Kajekeru village.

The raid was done on 22nd December 2023 in the wee hours of the night by National Police service together with DCI officers in Embu.

Three individuals were captured were reportedly slaughtering donkeys according to police reports.

After the police ambushed them, the three men, who were armed with crude weapons are reported to have attempted an attack on the officers which prompted them to fire warning shots in the air.

Also found at the scene were 20 freshly slaughtered donkey’s carcasses and one motor vehicle, Noah Registration No. KDD 782T.

Three pangas, 12 knives one bow and six arrows were also recovered.

The three men who were captured have been identified as Stanley Thuranira, 25-year-old; George Maringa, 28-year-old and Anastasia Wanyaga.

“The National Police Service commends the members of the public for their continued partnership by sharing information.” A statement from the police read.
