CS Kuria forced to apologize over remarks on cost of living.

The Trade Cabinet Secretary CS Moses Kuria has profusely apologized over his remarks on cost of living.

Recently, Hon. Moses Kuria had commented on the rising cost of living saying the price of fuel will keep rising by sh10 upto next year February.

According to Kuria, the rise in cost of living can be attributed to unforeseen turbulence across the world and that Kenya isn’t exceptional.

His remarks attracted negative feedback from the Kagamega senator Boni Khalwale and the Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.

In his remarks, Khalwale said that leaders should give hope to it’s citizens and not criticise their situation.

Khalwale proposed resignation of some of the top Gov’t officials over careless utterances.

The Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua noted, while speaking to the media that no one in Gov’t should talk down on Kenyans over the increase cost of living.

In reiteration, Kuria has apologised, through his Twitter account over the same.

In his remarks, Kuria noted: “Dear Kenyans. On Friday 15th September I made some comments indicating that the price of fuel is likely to go up in the coming months owing to global dynamics.

“I have since been advised by people like Dr Boni Khalwale and his master that the statement was incorrect, insensitive and ARROGANT.

“I am made to now understand that the price will come down. I apologise profusely since to error is human.” Said Kuria.
