The National Policy Service says it has yet again in another significant success, recovered 4 firearms, 15 Camels in an operation dubed “Maliza Uhalifu North Rift” led by the multi-agency security team.
One G-3 rifle was reportedly recovered at Amoler Location in Pokot Central Sub- County, while three other rifles which included an AK-47, M-16 and a Carabine MK-1 were recovered at Latakweny Village in Samburu North Sub-County.
Meanwhile, NPS says, the security team recovered 15 camels after subduing bandits who have stolen the animals at Sulubei Grazing Fields.
It was gathered that the animals were positively identified and handed over to the owners.
“We laud the local communities for their support, and continue to appeal to any person in possession of an illegal firearm to immediately surrender the same to security agencies.”
