On 24/03/2023, Police in Juja reportedly conducted an Operation within Two Rivers Estate of Muigai Inn and recovered several items from a house suspected to be used as a packaging area for illicit brew; National Police Service reports.
According to details obtained by K47, items seized by police include 750 litres of Ethanol; 193 full Cartons of Star Light Vodka of 250 ml.
Branding rolls (40 pieces for Budget brand and 50 pieces for Starlight brand were also recovered.
“There were also approximately 19,000 bottle caps; 53 bundles of empty Starlight cartons; and20 cartons of Budget among others.” NPS statement read.
During the Operation, one female suspect named Salome was arrested.
The woman will be arraigned in Court tomorrow Monday 27th March, 2023.
