President William Samoe Ruto was on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 appointed Bishop Oginde as the Chairperson of EACC.
This, according to reports, is in accordance with the Gazette notice NO. 5654 of the The Ethic And Anti Corruption Commission Act (No. 22 of 2011) section 10 (5) of 2011 which gives him the power to do so.
“I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint- DAVID ADANG OGINDE (DR) to be the Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, for a period of six (6) years. Dated the 29th April, 2023.” Read the Gazette notice.
