The Rapid support Force (RSF) has reacted on brutal attack on civilians.
In a press release dated May 19, 2023, RAF accuses the Sudanese Armed Forces over what it terms as brutal attack on civilians.
“The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) strongly condemns the Sudanese Armed Forces’ (SAF) brutal attacks on civilians.” RAF stated in a statement.
The assaults, RSF says, have had a devastating impact on farms in the East Nile and Koko areas, costing innocent lives and destroying businesses, gas stations, and homes.
“The people of Sudan are suffering under the heavy hand of the SAF. Their personal property is seized arbitrarily and their dignity assaulted.”
“Essential elements of our community’s well-being, hospitals are also seized, violated, and destroyed. Today’s indiscriminate bombing of neighborhoods further demonstrates the SAF’s disregard for civilian lives.”
The RSF described the action by SAF “desperation,” saying the SAF and its backers from the former regime of military dictator Omar al-Bashir have resorted to “extreme measures,” including attempts to recruit foreign mercenaries and rally local jihadist groups.
“These calls to join their ranks, however, have largely fallen on deaf ears, as tribal leaders and others adamantly refuse to enable the return of the former regime.”
“Resolute in our commitment to Sudan’s democratic transition, justice, and human rights, the RSF continues to monitor these atrocities and refute the disinformation fueled by the SAF and its associates.”
RSA further detailed that as the SAF’s misleading narrative crumbles on the battlefield, “we promise the people a steadfast defense against oppression and remain dedicated to upholding the memory of our courageous martyrs.”
“We pledge our unwavering commitment to a democratic Sudan — one where each citizen’s rights and dignity are respected and protected.”
