Police in Diani, Kwale County, have begun deportation proceedings against Dutch national Elwin Ter Horst, widely known by locals as “Mufasa,” following a viral video that showed him spitting at and hurling insults at officers inside the Diani Police Station.

According to police reports, Horst was arrested while heavily intoxicated after allegedly causing a disturbance within the Diani area. He was initially slated to face multiple charges, including assault, malicious damage to property, creating a disturbance, and possession of narcotics. However, officers discovered during the booking process that his passport had expired, triggering a review of his immigration status and possible deportation.
