Kenyan on Twitter KOT have joined hand to buy a motorbike for a Bodaboda who lost it to theft.
The Bodaboda man, identified by social media name as @_Skilli (Asaad) lost his motorbike immediately after clearing the loan from Wetu Africa.
Asaad says he took a motorbike from Wetu and paid it to completion before it was stolen one day after finishing paying the loan in full.
One week after launching the complaint, Wetu Africa credit company is yet to respond.
“WATU CREDIT are yet to call me regarding my case. They had promised to do so by 11 a.m today.”
“I have decided to go to their offices at Upperhill to seek answers. Anyone who is around and wants to help me we can meet at their offices at 12 noon.”
Kenyans on Twitter have so far contributed over 68K to buy a new motorbike.
“Thanks so much to everyone who has chipped in. So far, I have received 68,155/- from you kind souls. I’m humbly appealing to KOT, let’s continue applying pressure until @Watu_Africa are held accountable. #WatuCreditNiWezi” Said Asaad.
