The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has issued a strong warning to the public after widespread reports circulated online claiming that the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) results had officially been released.
In a statement posted on their verified X (formerly Twitter) platform on 24th December 2025, KNEC dismissed the claims as fake news, urging candidates, parents, and teachers to avoid falling victim to misinformation often spread by unverified sources.
KNEC emphasized that any credible updates regarding the release of KJSEA results would only be communicated through official government channels, including the council’s website and verified social media pages.
“Beware of agents of fake news and misinformation. Do NOT be misled. KAA CHONJO!” the council warned in a brief but firm alert that has since garnered massive attention online.
Recently, candidates and parents have been on high alert, awaiting results from the revamped competency-based assessment system introduced to replace the traditional KCPE exams. The anxiety surrounding the transition has made the public more susceptible to misleading posts shared across digital platforms.
