Kirinyaga University is mourning the tragic death of one of its students, Evance Akoko, popularly known as “Sirikal,” who passed away on Monday under mysterious circumstances. Akoko, well-known for his flamboyant lifestyle, was reportedly stabbed multiple times, raising questions about the motive behind his killing.
The news of his demise quickly spread across social media, with tributes pouring in from friends and followers. Akoko, who frequently showcased a luxurious lifestyle on TikTok and Instagram, was admired for his bold display of wealth, including flashy cars, high-end parties, and exotic trips.
However, his sudden death has sparked curiosity about his source of income, which he had never clearly disclosed. Many are questioning how the university student managed to maintain such an opulent lifestyle.
Akoko’s death comes just weeks after another Kirinyaga University student, Dennis Oduor Otieno, known as “Denno Bright,” also passed away in equally puzzling circumstances. Like Akoko, Denno was recognized for his affluence, claiming to have earned his wealth through Forex trading and online ventures.
Denno, aged 25, tragically died on October 10, 2024, after collapsing in a Mombasa apartment. An autopsy revealed heart complications, acute pancreatitis, and a depressed central nervous system, conditions linked to heavy alcohol or substance use.
The back-to-back deaths of these young men, both celebrated for their lavish lifestyles, have left the university community in shock. Authorities are now under pressure to investigate Akoko’s murder and address the growing concerns over the risks of fast-paced, high-profile lifestyles among students.
