In his post, Khalwale lauded DP Kindiki for his restraint during a function in Embu, noting his decision not to fill the venue with supporters to cheer him on. “Congratulations, professor!” he exclaimed, celebrating Kindiki’s humility.

The Senator’s statement also addressed the Catholic bishops’ well-publicized critique of the government. He distanced the government from MP Oscar Sudi’s rebuttal of the bishops, insisting it was not an official stance. Khalwale urged the bishops to meet with President Ruto for a candid discussion and spiritual guidance.

“Please agree to meet H.E. @WilliamsRuto to advise him and pray for him,” Khalwale wrote.

Mixed Reactions Online

The post sparked mixed reactions online. Some applauded Khalwale for his boldness, while others questioned the timing of his comments amidst growing public discontent with the government’s performance.
