The Ministry of Education has released the official Kenya 2025 academic term dates, confirming that schools will reopen for Third Term on Monday, 25th August 2025. This marks the beginning of the final phase of the school year under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
According to the calendar issued by the Office of the Principal Secretary, State Department of Basic Education, Third Term will run for nine weeks, ending on 24th October 2025. Immediately after, national examinations will take place, starting with the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA 2025) and the Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA 2025).
