The 2025 KCSE examination results are officially accessible, triggering excitement, anxiety, and celebration among candidates and parents across the country. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released clear guidelines on how candidates can securely check their results online using the approved system.

KNEC has cautioned candidates and the public against relying on unofficial websites or social media links claiming to show KCSE results early. The council has emphasized that only the official results portal should be used to avoid fraud, errors, or data misuse.

How to Check KCSE 2025 Results Online

Candidates can access their KCSE 2025 results by visiting the official KNEC results portal: https://results.ac.ke

On the portal, candidates are required to enter their KCSE index number and at least one registered name as it appears in KNEC records. After filling in the required details, candidates must accept the privacy and access notice before proceeding. Once submitted, the system will display the candidate’s subject grades and overall performance instantly.

KNEC has clearly stated that all results-related queries must be submitted through heads of institutions within 30 days after the release of the results. Queries made after the 30-day period will attract a fee. This includes corrections related to names, subject entries, or grading concerns.

After checking results, candidates are encouraged to collect their official result slips from their schools and begin preparations for the KUCCPS placement process, which guides placement into universities, colleges, and TVET institutions.

KNEC CEO, Dr. David Njengere: “A total of 993,226 candidates sat the 2025 KCSE examination in 10,765 secondary education level institutions across the country. Out of these, 492,019 were male, while 501,214 of the candidates were female. The candidates were tested in 30 subjects, using a total of 74 papers. For ease of administration, KNEC used 633 Distribution Centres (containers) that are installed countrywide, for daily distribution of materials in the field.”
