Police said a Texas high school teacher was arrested for having an inappropriate relationship with a student, Fox News Reports.
Ruben Francisco Martin, 29, was arrested on Thursday.
He was charged with a second-degree felony for inappropriate relations between an educator and a student.
According to Fox News, the suspect worked as an assistant coach and wrestling instructor at Trinity High School in Euless.
Police said the victim of the alleged sexual assault was a 16-year-old school-girl.
Euless police were called to the district building on April 11 in connection with the allegations.
Police told Fox News press that “An investigation was conducted by Euless detectives and based on the evidence identified in this case, it was found that a criminal offense had occurred,”
Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District (HEBISD) told FOX 4 Dallas that Martin was put on leave following the allegations.
The Euless Police Department believes that other victims may be involved in this case. Anyone with information can contact Detective Patrick Cunningham at 817-685-1559.
