Gachagua visit families swept by flood in Nyandarua.

The Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has today the 6th May 2023, earlier in the morning, visited tens of families at Wanjohi, Kipipiri Constituency, Nyandarua County, that were swept by flood due to heavy rainfall that continues to ravage the country.

He took the relief support and assessed the impact of the rain in the region.

Gachagua called upon leader to support families that are directly affected by the heavy downpour.

“In times of emergency, it is critical for leaders to support the people, especially those directly and negatively affected.”

“The rains resulted in flash floods and hailstorms, which displaced many and destroyed property.
This will help us prepare better for possible future eventualities.” Said Gachagua.

Gachagua thanked the local leaders for organising the program to help the affected families.
