Former CJ Mutunga, senior counsel Khaminwa teargassed at Central Police Station.

Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, on Saturday 8th 2023 was teargassed inside Central Police Station CPS.

According to reports reaching the K47 digital news team, the former CJ and others had gone to demand the release of those who had been arrested during the Saba Saba Maandamano.

One of the canisters is reported to have hit the Chief Justice during the process.

Mutunga, who is the board chair of Muslims For Human Rights (MUHURI) together with the senior counsel Khaminwa were demanding for unconditional release of those detained yesterday during the demonstration.
