Political science Mutahi Ngunyi has hit out at president William Samoe Ruto over recent developments at DCI.
Ngunyi asked if Ruto is able to handle the opposition chief if he pushes him beyond the limits.
“Dear Ruto. Are you SURE you know how to handle Raila Odinga? Fuel is up, BUT you are giving him political FUEL for FREE. Do NOT push his LIMITS. Use LOLLYPOP diplomacy. Open DCI gates. Give him some WHISKY in a PRIVATE waiting ROOM. Be FRIENDLY. And the Oomph will DISAPPEAR.” said Ngunyi.
Ngunyi’s remarks comes shortly after media reports that Raila Odinga had been denied entry to DCI where he wanted to meet the for interior CS Fred Matiang’i who was being grilled for allegedly staging his own raid at Karen and false publication.
On Ruto’s allies call to “crush” media, Ngunyi told Ruto that he can kill the messenger but not the message.
“Happy BIRTHDAY President Ruto. You can KILL the MESSENGER, But NOT the MESSAGE. They STONED Stephen of the Bible. That did NOT stop the MESSAGE of Christ. Leave the media ALONE.” said Ngunyi.
