A court assistant has been arrested over ksh 400,000.
According to Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission EACC Abdifatah Mahamud Hassan was arrested and taken to Makadara Court.
It has been gathered that Abdifatah, who is said to be a Court Assistant at the Traffic Registry, Makadara Law Courts, reportedly demanded Kes.400,000 from the complainant with the intent that, in consequence, he would expedite the printing and issuance of court proceedings in respect to the complainant’s court file.
EACC detailed that the suspect was arrested on Friday after he reportedly received a downpayment of Kes.50,000 and was due to receive the balance when detectives pounced.
He was taken to EACC Police Station for processing.
