Police said a California man who stole a police car crashed to his death during a high-speed chase Tuesday.
The man, whose identity has not been released, jumped out of the speeding car, where he fell to death.

He crashed into the pavement, hit his head on the ground, and then swept along Highway several meters.
The patrol car continued to move at full speed until it crashed into a power pylon.
It moved to a stoppage while officers tried to pull the driver off the road and into another vehicle to administer first aid.
He was taken to the hospital, but died 4 hours later.
