Barely 2 years since the Nairobians voted Sakaja as there Governor, many of the residents are regretting their choice.
One of those affected areas are the Gikomba traders who took to X platform formerly twitter to air their grievances.
In the run up to 2022 general election, the top contenders on Nairobi governorship were Igathe who ran under Azimio team and Johnson Sakaja who was a United Democratic Alliance led by president William Samoe Ruto.
At the poll Sakaja won unopposed despite having questionable academic papers.
However, the Gikomba residents are now regretting choosing Sakaja over poor drainage.

“I don’t think Gikomba would be looking this pathetic had Igathe won the elections. Poor drainage and mud for a long time when people are stealing money for their interests.” One social media user wrote.
“Igathe is one dude I never regret voting for. The guy was sharp, brilliant and the vision he had for Nairobi was phenomenal.
“Having come from a corporate world, our revenue would be well managed with less or no corruption.”
Another one added: “Under Igathe’s leadership, Gikomba wouldn’t be facing such dire conditions. With Ruto’s positive agenda, we can expect real change and progress, ensuring resources are used efficiently for everyone’s benefit.”
Some of the comments:
Others expressed confidence saying Polycarp Igathe would have made a BETTER governor for Nairobi.

“Millicent Omanga would also have actually been a better Women’s Rep for Nairobi than Esther Passaris in spite of her earlier twerking nonsense. Hapo kwa Zakayo, you people can’t be helped.”
