The Homabay township MP Hon George Kaluma has called for the prosecution of Doctor who removed his patients Uterus infested with fibroids.
The Dr, only identified by his social media name as Korir Rotich shared a photo of the removed Uterus which he says was ‘colonized’ by fibroids.
The Dr says the plan was to remove fibroids only but it turns out that the whole uterus is affected by fibroids.

“Pre-operation, the plan was to do a myomectomy (remove fibroids only), but when we opened the abdomen, we found the uterus is fully colonized by fibroids. Hysterectomy!” Said the Dr.
One of the social media users sought to find out if really the uterus has been removed.
“Sasa daktari apa, uterus imeenda hivo ama ntatoa fibroids mrudishe uterus ndani.”
In his reply, the Dr affirmed: “Uterus imeenda hivo. When taking consent from the patient for myomectomy or even for a Caesarian section, patient signs that if the surgeon finds it necessary or in case of any eventuality, the Dr can decide to remove the entire uterus…eg in case of hemorrhage (excess bleeding).”
Another social media user castigated the Dr for sharing patients information.
“Did the consent cover sharing this here on Twitter? Whether anonymous or not, I think this is grossly wrong.”
In his defence, the Dr replied “That’s not in the consent form. Patient requested to allow sharing of the images for educational purposes among doctors and general public. That was after procedure.”
MP George Kaluma hit out at the Dr saying he made a bad decision and he should be jailed. He advocated for use of herbal medicine.
“Bad decision! You didn’t have to chop of the patient’s uterus because of fibroids! We have local herbs that dissolve these within no time administered by local herbalists, including my own mother. The patient should sue you.”
“And so, a patient who consented to fibroids removal woke up from the theater without uterus! What a joke of a doctor! And you call it success! You should be saying this from jail after compensating the lady!” Added Kaluma.
