The Ministry of Education has officially released the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) Grade 10 placement results, marking a major milestone for thousands of learners transitioning to senior school.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Basic Education Principal Secretary confirmed that candidates can now check the secondary schools they have been placed in through a simple SMS process.
According to Bitok, learners are required to send their KNEC assessment number via SMS to 22263. Within moments, they will receive details of the school they have been allocated under the new Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) pathway.
The placement follows the completion of the KJSEA assessments administered by the (KNEC), which replaced the traditional KCPE examination. Unlike previous systems, the new placement model considers learners’ performance, career pathways, school choices, and available capacity in senior schools.
Education stakeholders say the release of Grade 10 placement results is crucial in ensuring a smooth transition and timely reporting to schools. Parents and guardians have been advised to assist learners in checking their placement details and begin preparations for admission as guided by the Ministry of Education.
Further instructions on reporting dates, admission letters, and school requirements are expected to be issued by respective institutions and education offices in the coming days.
Learners are urged to double-check their assessment numbers before sending the SMS to avoid delays or incorrect results.
NB/ if you intend to change the school given, don’t download the letter.
