Prado occupants shot Uber driver after hitting his car in an accident according to viral social media reports.
The Uber driver was hit by Prado occupants as he waits customers who wanted to travel to Juja.
The information was brought to light by Derrick Mbugua, a social media enthusiast.
He shared video footage of the Prado which he captioned: “Happening now on thika Road kwa
footbridge ya kahawa wendani.
“This vehicle prado has hit an uber drivers car akingoja request in juja causing damage on his car and it drove off.”
The uber driver reportedly decided to give it a chase, the men in the prado short in the air to scare him away but the Uber driver did not give a dam.
His aim, according to information gathered, was only one, to make it stop and the driver to pay the damage.
As they drove he heard someone in the prado screaming for help, “he was wearing a white vest na ako na kipara.”
“Kufika kahawa wendani the prado has lost control and hit the super highway grills. Pia wameenda na simu ya huyu driver Two men and one lady all three with guns came out and boarded a bodaboda.”
Those who witnessed the accident tried to say “wasiende kuna mtu amefungwa kwa gari” that’s when they shot on the air three times and everyone “mguu niponye in different directions’
“On Friday these two gentlemen went to sell this vehicle to a client, with the grey t-shirt is a broker by the name Brian while with the white shirt is the owner of the vehicle on the photo by the name Kennedy, …the sad part is that both of them went missing on this very day after meeting the said ‘client’ and the vehicle has also not been seen since then……if you see them or the vehicle kindly reach us on 0707861787.” Posted Derrick on a Facebook page.
It had been gathered that police have since taken up the matter and are working on it.
He highlighted how risky the business to be a car broker is.
“This business of ours has a dark side – kidnappers and/or car jackers. Our colleagues Brian Karanja and Ken Gitau have been missing since Friday, after driving this Land Cruiser Prado J120 (Reg No. KBS 775G) to a potential client for viewing. The relevant authorities have been contacted for action. Please share and repost.”
