Blogger Robert Alai turned Member of the county assembly has taken issues with the USA ambassador to Kenya over her recent remarks on Kenya election.

Alai, in his statement, called out Meg Whitman over her statement that Kenya had the most transparent election in 2022.

Meg Whitman made the comment at the Eldoret Council Of Governors conference.

The comments by Whitman, who is the US ambassador to Kenya seems to have not anchored well with Alai.

In reactions, Alai remarked that “the only people who know whether 2016 and 2020 US elections were free, fair and credible in the history of America are AMERICANS themselves. Not some few idle ambassadors on holiday.

“The only people who know whether Kenyan election from 2007 have been free, fair and credible are US, Kenyans. Meg Whitman should stop the CARELESS talk.” Said Alai in a statement.

Alai accused Meg Whitman saying that her remarks resemble Michael Ranneberg, the then US ambassador to Kenya, fanned post election violence in 2007.

“This is how Michael Ranneberger actively fanned 2007 post-election violence in Kenya by being obsessive Kibaki hatchet man.”

He questioned if the USA wants to destroy Kenya for strategic reasons.
