TSC responds to newly recruited JSS teachers salary delay.

The teacher Service Commission has responded to the newly recruited teachers salary delay.

TSC commission acknowledged that it recruited 35,550 Junior Secondary School teachers who reported to their stations in February and March 2023.

As is procedure, the recruits are given 30 days within which to report to their various stations, which leads to some commencing their work later than others.

This sometimes, according to TSC, causes delays in the processing of their salaries. So far, the Commission says, it has processed over 50% of the salaries of the newly employed teachers. Teachers can confirm the payments with their respective banks.

TSC further apologiesed for the delay of salaries among teachers.

“We apologise for any delays that may have been occasioned by late reporting of teachers to their stations, or delayed submission of requisite documents. All efforts are being made to effect all the salaries in May 2023.” It says.
