Chepchoina detectives have arrested Emmanuel Lomoket, a suspect in a violent home invasion in Endebes, Trans Nzoia County. The incident unfolded after a couple was awakened by robbers attempting to de-thatch their grass-roofed house at night. The gang, armed with an AK-47, demanded money and fired a shot, narrowly missing the terrified couple.
The next morning, locals traced Akala shoe prints to Lomoket’s home. When confronted, he tried to flee but was caught and beaten before confessing to the crime. He led authorities to an accomplice’s house, where an AK-47 rifle was found hidden in a maize sack.
Lomoket is now in police custody as the hunt for his three accomplices continues. The recovered rifle and empty magazine have been secured as evidence, ensuring justice for the traumatized victims.
