The sorry state of the the newly-refurbished state-of-the-art Kericho Green Stadium has raised eyebrows amongst Kenyans.
A more disturbing realisation is that the refurbishment cost the Kenyan taxpayer an arm and leg, literally according to reports.
Some of the attendees who thronged the stadium to see the head of state on Mashuja days lost their shoe in the mud that greeted the stadium after the rain.
“Tomorrow, those who lost their shoes at the Kericho Green Stadium today will be opening their car windows only to find they’re being sold the same shoes at evening prices. We thank God for subsidized fertilizers.” One social media user posted.
Kenyan’s took to X platform formerly twitter to share photos from the region.
Going to Kericho Green Stadium just to see President William Ruto 😂.
