President Ruto’s Gov’t has outlined a clear roadmap on how to end bandits in rift valley region.

According to the reports shared by @CPC_Kenya, the government has embraced whole society approach in the fight against banditry.

It details that ending banditry requires both security measures & development interventions to open up North Rift and other regions affected by the vice.

Here the 7 point plan for the same;

1. Enhanced Multi-Agency security operation
   in banditry-prone areas in the North Rift.
2. Modernising and equiping the security
   forces.
3. Engaging neighbouring countries to curb
   cross-border crime.
4. Setting up permanent security installations in the volatile areas.
5. Tightening security laws to harshly punish criminals.
6. Rein in politicians funding or abetting bandi
7. Develop the North Rift region.
