A 21 year student at Rongo University identified as Abel P’Chumba was stabbed to death in a fight over who would clear a bill they had incurred at a local bar.
According to reports gathered, Abel P’chuma was reportedly a third-year student, known to many as Kiddo.
He is reported to have been allegedly stabbed in one of the hostels at the college after a fight that turned fatal.
Abel P’chumba alias “Kiddo”from West Pokot county has left this earth in what has been described by his close associates “cold blood”.
Source intimate to the University says Kiddo faced massacre on a night that beared 2nd November 2023.
He was alleged to have been killed by his friend Titus, whom K47 hasn’t verified at the time of publication.

The suspect who was his friend was reportedly arrested hours after the incident happened according to local media outlets.
The deceased and the suspect had been at a local club before an altercation broke out.
Witnesses revealed that the altercation was caused by differences over who was to clear their bill at the club.
Friends who were around reportedly tried to give their first aid help to the injured due to the profuse bleeding but they realised it wasn’t bearing fruits, which forced them to seek help at Campus clinic for further attention.
On Thursday morning, which happens to be today, the 2nd of November 2023, sad news came knocking that Kiddo was no more.
Abel was a Third Year communication and media student in Rongo University.
“And with heavy hearts, the Campus will be holding a memorial for Abel at the campus peripheral for a peace send off. Please grace us with your company at RUC.” Source stated in a statement.
Adding: “To the family, friends and relatives, take it easy. Rest in peace Legend.”
The university dean of students B Asuga issued a statement on Thursday November 2 to announce the untimely death of Abel.
He wrote: “We regret to announce the passing on of Abel Pchumba which occurred on November 1, 2023 while undergoing emergency medical attention at Tabaka Mission Hospital.”
“The deceased was a third year student of Bachelor of Science in Communication and Journalism degree programme in the School of Information, Communication and Media Studies.”
Police detailed that they had been informed the suspect stabbed Pchuma using a kitchen knife before escaping from the the scene.
After the cold blood murder, the suspect fled the scene, retreating to one of the hostels where he reportedly informed his colleagues of the drama.
