The brazen attack sent shockwaves through the community, prompting swift action from a multi-agency team comprising the National Police Service (NPS) and National Police Reservists (NPRs).
According to eyewitnesses, the bandits, armed to the teeth, descended upon the village at approximately 11:30 a.m., herding the livestock away under the cover of gunfire. However, the quick response of the patrolling law enforcement team thwarted their plans, leading to a fierce exchange of bullets between the police and the assailants.
Despite the intensity of the confrontation, no injuries were reported among the officers and reservists, underscoring their commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
