The Defence CS Aden Duale has hit out at Azimio La Umoja boss Raila Amolo Odinga over his disperation for power.
Duale, questions how Odinga could equate the current situation in the country to power sharing line up of 2007/08.
“@RailaOdinga is an exposed man desperate for power at whatever cost. How does he equate the current situation to the 2007/08 period and ask for power sharing under a National Accord arrangement? Mr Odinga you lost the election.” Duale posted in a tweet.
He reminded Odinga that his call for demonstration won’t succeed in bulldozing his way to power.
“Your demos have nothing to do with cost of living but a means to bulldoze your way to power. Trust me you will not succeed.” He adde.
However, Mohammed Dida reminded Duale that he missed a point on his remark to Odinga.
“Hon Duale, you’re the indisputable elder for the pastoralist Nation. We give you all the respect due to you, which includes correcting you when you miss a point.” Dida replied.
He added: “You’re making a serious mistake by expecting the opposition to be reasonable. A man who lost election has room for rational behavior. We shld be grateful that AZIMIO didn’t begin demos before the swearing-in of the President.”
Dida asked Duale to thank God that Azimio lack foresight that saw them delay the demonstration.
“Let’s thank God for AZIMIO’s lack of foresight which made them delay their demos. Otherwise, Hon Junet could be the CS for Defense by now, not by merit but coercion & coercion is a legitimate political in nascent democracies such as ours.” He said.
