The Kagamega County Governor Fernandes Barasa has welcomed welcomed Butere Girls High School basketball and Musingu Boys High School hockey teams at the County Headquarters following their emphatic victories at the just concluded Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) Term One national games held in Eldoret.
The county boss hailed them saying they are set for bigger challenge in East Africa games.
“Their conquest sets the stage for a bigger challenge at the East Africa School Games in Rwanda where the two teams will fly the flag of Kakamega County and Kenya in August.” Said Fernandes Barasa.
He further resolved to invest in sports infrastructure.
“My administration is committed to nurturing and developing talents by availing platforms to showcase them, and investing in sports infrastructure.”
