KQ Closes down Kisumu, Johannesburg booking office citing “anticipated protest”

Kenya Airways has issued a statement on the closure of Kisumu and Johannesburg booking office on Monday citing the anticipated protest against Kenya and South Africa opposition protest.

“Kenya Airways (KQ) wishes to inform our customers that our town booking offices in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Kisumu, Kenya, will remain closed on Monday 20th March 2023 and reopen on 21st March 2023 due to the anticipated protests in these cities.” a statement from Kenya Airways obtained by K47 News agencies reads.

It adds: “All our other offices within our network including the airport offices in Johannesburg and Kisumu
will be operational.”

The Kenya Airways apologized to any inconvenience cause saying it is a precaution to safety of employees and customers.

“Our sincere apologies to any inconvenience caused by the closure of the offices. The safety and
wellbeing of our employees and customers are our highest priority.”
