The Ugunja MP who doubles up as Minority Leader in National Assembly Hon. Opiyo Wandayi has revealed a top secret at KPL following a power outage.
In a statement, MP says that Kenyans are currently paying the highest tariffs ever for electricity consumption, including being charged for power they have not consumed.
The MP accuses the Kenya Power company over frequent power outage.
He says power breakdown not only affects the country’s economic production but also compromises the National security.
“Frequent nationwide power outtages not only exposes KPLC incompetence, but also compromises national security while denting economic production.” Said Opiyo Wandayi.
Adding: “It is a scandal which requires heads to roll but more importantly there is a need to establish what is happening at KPLC which continues to enjoy a long monopoly but does not give value for tax payers money.”
