Breaking: Gov’t to shut down the internet in Kenya during protest.

According to Azimio Tv sources who requested to remain anonymous indicate that plans are at an advanced stage by UDA working in cahoots with the Communications Authority of Kenya to shut down the internet in the next few hours and latest by 6am tomorrow in a last gasp attempt to thwart Azimio.

In a statement shared via twitter, the shut down is reportedly being done under the pretext of preventIng the spread of fake news and incitement to violence.

“The country is set to be plunged into darkness. Communication networks are set to be disrupted, making it difficult for people to contact their loved ones or emergency services.” The statement read in part.

Azimio TV details that online businesses and services will shut down, causing significant economic losses and disruptions to supply chains.

“The international community must take note and be ready to condemn CAK’s actions and call for an immediate restoration of the internet connectivity services as freedom of information and freedom of the press is sacrosanct.” It concluded.
