Yesterday, police had made crucial leads while searching for Tom, arresting two farm workers in the process. One of the worker, who had left home 3 years ago after slashing his mother, was sighted with Tom’s vehicle at his rural home.

He appeared unsettled, locals say. The guy, who bought tea for locals, went to a car wash and ordered attendants to wash only outside, noting that the vehicle is “full inside”. It is suspected he was carrying Osinde’s body and was waiting for instructions from his “bosses”. The vehicle was recovered in Kilgoris.

According to one social media user with knowledge of Osinde, it could be a business deal gone south.

“The death has nothing to do with politics at least from what I have gathered. The Osinde’s are very reserved people. It could be a business deal which went wrong or something to do with family. Let the police now do their work.” He said.
