Michael Macharia, known by his stage name as DJ brown is behind bar over death of his wife.
According to reports, Macharia is being detained at Kasarani police station in connection with the death of his wife, Sharon Njeri, by suicide.
This comes days after a viral video that surfaced in April, in what was alleged to be DJ Brownskin recording his wife taking poison.
In the alleged video, DJ brown who is believed was behind the camera could be heard asking the late Sharon Njeri to go ahead and mix the concoction
The wife, in the video footage, could be seen taking poison from the cup as the DJ recorded.
In a two minutes video, the wife later fell down as the DJ struggle to call a house help to assist the dying wife.
The wife was pronounced dead minutes later.
DJ Brownskin had two kids with the late Sharon.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) investigators arrested him while in a popular Kasarani club.
This comes after police obtained an order from the Makadara magistrate’s court to hold him for seven days to complete investigations.
It is reported, by the house help that the two couples had been in a rocky relationship with wife accusing the husband of being promiscuous.
Police says the decided to arrest the DJ after failing to honour several sermons.
