𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐂
Established under the Kenya National Examinations Council Act No. 29 of 2012, KNEC is mandated to conduct school and post-school examinations and issue certifications. It plays a vital role in maintaining academic standards in Kenya.
𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬
1. Examinations Officer: Applied Sciences, Business & Technical Education – KNEC Grade 7 (6 Posts)
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
- Participation in curriculum development.
- Alignment of syllabuses with examinations.
- Development of Tables of Specifications for test papers.
- Training test setters and moderators.
- Setting and moderating assessment tools.
- Proofreading and approving test papers.
- Pre-testing of test items.
- Participation in awards and grading.
- Preparing detailed feedback reports.
- Implementing recommendations from Chief Examiners.
- Ensuring confidentiality and security of examination materials.
- Adherence to Quality Management Systems.
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education OR related field with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
- Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution.
