A man, a vocal supporter of President William Ruto during the 2022 presidential campaign has come clean, saying he regrets supporting him.
The man, only identified as Taib Ali Taib Bajaber says he is a member of the ruling coalition but he regrets why he chose it.
He says his action of supporting UDA might cost him a place in heaven.
“I am a member of UDA, and I regret why I chose it, and it may even cost me a place in heaven. I pray for forgiveness from God. I regret supporting Ruto.” He said, quoting the Kapenguria MP’s statement on X formally Twitter post.
Adding: “Whatever his reasons, these words by the MP for Kapenguria should be a cause for concern for Kenya Kwanza.”
His remarks followed after a 9.3b edible oil reportedly went missing.
“It is in the government’s own interest to ensure that these claims are thoroughly investigated and the findings either properly explained to the public or those culpable prosecuted urgently.”
