Early this year Talanta Quest Africa TQA allegedly advertised jobs in Malaysia both skilled and unskilled for Kenyans to apply, Brian Enn reports.
A candidate was required to pay an air ticket, a commission of 80k and travel with $500.
Upon arrival in Malaysia an agent would pick you at the airport and collect $400 to facilitate paperwork.
During this time candidates would be housed in warehouses awaiting to be linked with their employer.
There were no jobs as advertised so the candidates were forced to survive from their own pocket.
After 30 days of waiting the visit visas expired. They were now illegal immigrants and couldn’t secure any employment.
They were forced to seek refuge at the Kenyan embassy. For them to secure a flight back to Kenya one would pay a fine before getting traveling documents.
Some Kenyans are still stranded in Malaysia Due to lack of money and are currently residing at the Kenyan embassy according to reports.
Brian alleges that the contact Agent in Malaysia that was used by TQA is a guy called Cyrus Irungu.
Several reports have been filled in regard to this issue but no action has been taken to date and the perpetrators are still out there conning unsuspecting Kenyans. This guys are working with corrupt government officials.
