The Majority leader Kimani Ichungwah has finally spoken on the invasion of the former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s farm.
Speaking on Citizen TV, the Ichungwah detailed that what happened at Azimio’s protest was unfortunate and that they warned president Uhuru Kenyatta not to impose a candidate on Mount Kenya.
“What happened yesterday is rather unfortunate and should never happen to anybody, not the Kenyattas. We cautioned Uhuru Kenyatta against imposing the candidature of Uhuru Kenyatta on the people of Mt Kenya.” Said Ichungwah.
He indirectly hit out at former head of state for financing the Azimio’s protest.
“The concerns that are there with the people is that the people financing this anarchy are financing this anarchy yet their businesses are going on as usual, nothing is happening to their businesses.” He said.
On the cost of living, Ichungwah said it will not be brought down by raping women in Mathare, or stoning police or looting people’s shops in town and robbing motorists.
Ichungwah called out the opposition chief saying he looks forward to when Things will denounce violence.
“I look forward to the day Raila Odinga will unequivocally denounce violence, anarchy and bloodshed as a currency to attaining political power.”

Godfrey Osotsi, who was also present detailed that the Kenya Kwanza’s administration strategy is to ensure that Azimio has no opportunity to demonstrate.
“We are seeing desperation from Kenya Kwanza and they want to stop Kenyans from exercising their constitutional rights.” Otosi said.
Godfrey Osotsi claimed that there is panic within Kenya Kwanza.
“What they did yesterday was the worst a government could do to a former president, a government could do to people who own property in this country.” Otosi Stated.
Otosi asked the Gov’t to allow protesters to do so in peace without using police to disrupt the procession.
“Let us respect the Constitution which we all promise Kenyans that we are going to uphold and protect. Allow protesters to picket peacefully without using the police to disrupt those procession.” He said.
