Heartbreak as Journalists Carry Colleague’s Coffin 5KM

The village of the late journalist Nick Mudimba in Gem Constituency, Siaya County, lacks proper roads, forcing mourners—including fellow journalists—to carry his coffin for over 5 kilometers in the rain during his burial.

The emotional scene unfolded as colleagues, friends, and family struggled through muddy, impassable terrain to lay Mudimba to rest. Among those present was CNN correspondent Larry Madowo, who joined other media professionals in paying their respects.
